ONDyTEC, as a company dedicated to the development, manufacturing, and commercialization of sustainable technologies applied to the textile sector, continuously strives to research and develop new textile concepts.
We are a young and highly qualified team with extensive experience and know-how, which has been essential in achieving, through this innovation project, a new concept of reusable surgical face mask capable of withstanding more than 50 washing cycles. The mask is made from a textile material that acts as a filtration medium and is classified as a Type IIR surgical mask in compliance with standard EN 14683. This represents a further example of the innovative, diversified, and entrepreneurial spirit that characterizes ONDyTEC.
These masks also offer the advantage of being developed under a proximity-based manufacturing approach, using locally sourced materials (local yarns) and proprietary high technology. No cellulosic materials were used, in line with recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO).
We are highly satisfied with the progress of this project, having fully committed our efforts to addressing the challenging situation we have experienced, contributing to the fight against the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.
This project has been supported by the Valencian Institute for Business Competitiveness (IVACE), which granted funding of €12,775.50 for the project entitled “Development of Technical Textiles for Reusable Surgical Face Masks”, with reference number IMINOE/2020/17, submitted under the product innovation programme aimed at responding to health emergencies (INNOVAProD-CV COVID) 2020.
