The project, under the name CREATEC – ONDYTEC BIODEVELOPMENTS, was carried out with the main objective of developing a new sustainable dyeing system based on the use of natural pigments and a novel recycled-origin polymeric resin.
The project focused on the development of optimized pigment dispersions through the study of ultrasound technology as a means to achieve optimal pigment dispersion and stabilization. In addition, formulation work was carried out on dye baths, analyzing the behavior of the new dispersions in combination with the incorporation of a sustainable recycled-origin resin.
This project was based on the innovation provided by ultrasound technology to significantly improve the quality of pigment dispersions, as well as on the adaptation of dye bath formulations to incorporate a new recycled resin which, together with natural pigments, enables a sustainable dyeing process.
The results obtained have allowed ONDYTEC 2018 to develop an innovative and sustainable dyeing method, capable of delivering high-quality coloration results on different substrates, using natural and recycled raw materials combined with the proper application of ultrasound technology.
The project has been financially supported by the Valencian Institute for Business Competitiveness (IVACE) and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), which granted funding of €30,224.11 for the project entitled “Createc Ondytec Biodevelopments”, with reference number IMCBTA/2019/8, submitted under the Technology-Based Companies Creation Programme (CREATEC-CV).
